If I remember rt, the Stock hp on the 8.1 was around 375hp and the tq490. Type in   chevy 8.1L and do a search. I found a bunch of stuff. Hope this helps..

if i  was able to get my hands on one how hard would it be to put in an 81 chevy with rockwells?....seems worth looking into.. b/c i'm in the hunt for a motor to get my truck back in the mud..
