I know a guy with two steering axles like that but they are not top loaders. Never seen them ran but i know a guy who would sell some.

they are the same as monster trucks. on monster trucks the center sections are usally made from f 106 center section and either bolt on or weld the planatery outside. The pettibone is the old style alot harder to work on if something goes wrong. From what I have been told the stock center section is stout to steady loads but they break like glass from shock loads. I guess thats the reason for changing center section.

ya im doing a set of ps115s with 2.5ton centers toploaders i know im one of the first to do this My ps115 outers are 550# each
The Zf parts are harder to find just because their isn't alot of info out there on them. They are expensive but are great units
are thay 10 lug if you run the stock axle you have to run the stock case with the axles or a reverser case but you have to run big a$$ tires with them

correct on the big @$$ tires 10.29 ratio with 62s top speed of maybe 35 with out blowing anything up. thats the other reason they change the center sections. changing center section wil be in the 7.00-8.75 to 1 range depending on center section. With big @$$ tires it makes it almost impossible to haul anywhere. my truck with 52" v treads on low profile gooseneck is 105" wide and around 12'11" tall. I think the axles are a good choice, just takes a little more to get it there. I am all for the tallest tire you can find. The tallest I have ever seen were 98" tall and 7" wide used for rice fields in arkansas the farmer said a set of 4 cost 11,000 mounted. DAMN!!!!
