what size hydraulic ram should i use on 1 ton axles all help apreciated

I use a 2x8 ram on my rockwell as most others use. what are you going for? full hydro or hydro assist?

8" stroke is about perfect for stock lock to lock turning. Most people do use the 2" bore, just remember to slow the speed down you would increase the bore size. just make sure to have enough fluid capacity.

thanks for all the help guys and what type of electric pump would yall reccomend using for the rear steer?

Haldex double acting 12 volt pump. Grainger or northern tool have em for alittle over 500
