heres my dilemna im running a 205 case in my truck right now i know its heavy and robbing me of hp. i have a gutted out 208 that only works in high range im wantin to use but with the adapter on it to hook up to a turbo 350 my tail shaft isnt long enough, so instead of having the tranny tore down and spending money im wondering if i should get a pro fab or scs case. wondering if im gonna get the results i want from it or is the 208 gonna be close to the same?

If i remember right, u use a 2wd 14" output shaft and u cut about an 1.5 inches off to couple th350 to 208. Then your stuck with 1 to 1. Get the profab its waaaay cheaper and easier to dial in your rig. I got one fer sale 2500.00 comes with all yokes and 3 sets of gears 713-922-3437

This makes no sense if you want to take off the 205 because of weight but dont want to take apart the tranny to change the shaft what are you going to do if you put a pro-fab or a scs in the truck your stiil going to have that 205 in it? and spend $2,500 pluse need new shafts there goes that budget Roll Eyes

i didnt wanna waste the time on the 208 if its just gonna get tore up so if i bought the pro fab i was gonna selll the current tranny and build the other one i have with the longer shaft . i guess i kinda posted it wrong i got  a bunch of diffrent options im lookin to play with here. also with that i was tryin to figure pinion angles etc....
